Scobleizer reported about this new Microsoft software, Songsmith, that takes your recorded voice and creates back-up music to accompany it. Judging from the demo, this is probably the first step towards trampling over Karaoke culture and kicking it while it’s down.
I’ll bet you…you will be hooked to it. As soon as you download your free trial version (6-hrs of play time!). Only $29.95 if you buy. You can change chords, you can share, you can annoy the hell out of your neighbors – but you will have fun doing it.
And because Microsoft is sooo Mac-friendly, it doesn’t even make one available for them. Ooooh, knife in the heart. Bleed. Death. Buena Vista!
