A fascinating read and insight into a sadly, degenerated brain but it gives hope for many. ;0)

Seriously - brilliant interview. Both of you.
You should publish Jim.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this. There is probably a reason why your interview is divided into 4 parts and over two blogs. Your answers could probably win prizes for being the longest ever.

Janet - Our flutiphones were white. I recall that they did come in black, also. And, yup, "Twinkle..." was the third song we learned. Thanks for bringing that hideous memory back to the forefront of my mind!

Thimbelle - Yes, little pictures of "Indian" boys in buckskins and loincloths, Fisher-Price. Forgot about that detail. Good memory!

I remember those little radio toys... did it have little pictures where the dial would have been? I think that was a Fisher-Price toy. Wow... hadn't thought about *that* for 30 or 40 years...

Fascinating. I have several points I could make, but all I'll say here is I had one of those flutiphone things too. They called them recorders. Black plastic. Thinking back on it, I'm sure hearing 20 of those things belting out "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" every day probably was a major contributing factor as to why my third grade teacher was so mean.
