Matt Beck is a multi-instrumentalist who’s played with, among others, Rod Stewart, Rob Thomas, Lisa Loeb, Dweezil Zappa, to name a few and has added singer/songwriter title with his new album ‘Anything Which Gives You Pleasure.’

He took some time out from his busy schedule – touring, session work, and performing at a musical – and sat for an interview this past winter. In the first part he talks about growing up the son of professional musicians, the music that has influenced him in the early years, and his experience learning the guitar.

Dear Guitarkadia,
Thank you so much for the wonderful interview with guitarist Matt Beck (Rob Thomas/Rod Stewart). It is fascinating to hear how Matt was able to develop himself to be the great musician that he is today which was fueled by his hours of dedication because of his great passion for playing and creating the sounds that excited him.
Listening to the wonderful interview that you presented made me even prouder of him.
Thanks again for featuring Matt on one of your interviews.
