Special 80s Roundtrip: Valentine’s Day in A Fast Car

This day, I know a lot of you are spending it by yourselves. And I am right there with you. Some of us by choice, if you believe it, and some of us not. Let’s just change our mindset and remember what we didn’t have and not make it into a reminder of what we don’t have. We won’t have everything, we can’t always be with the one we love,  and we can’t let all of that get in the way of progress. You and I need to be better than that, son!

So…fuck this Valentine’s Day bullshit. Know that half of the people you know who pretend to have found ‘love’ are in denial. You don’t want to be fake like them. Be original. Let things unfold as they may. Don’t let Hallmark cards and stupid heart-shaped commercial products fool you.

So why this song, you might ask. Goes against what I just said above.

Maybe not.

Well said. I have never had anything to do with this commercial con trick…Apart from playing a Valentines Night gig 6 years ago! It was good gig too, two night running. I told one diner this is not an exact repeat performance… Tonight any mistakes will occur at different points in the music :))
