Paul McCartney, The Fireman

Paul McCartney does not need a Colbert bump! I know Colbert was joking, but people some people seem to think McCartney needs help. Hit the ‘ignore’ button on that.

Anyway, if you haven’t had a chance to check out his latest effort ‘Electric Arguments‘, a collaboration with producer Martin Glover, aka Youth, listen to the full album here. This is their 3rd after Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest (93) and Rushes (98).

I think the man’s melody machine is always on and he never stops listening or writing. Loved this video of him playing all the instruments as it shows an easy going person who loves to play and discover melodies. Back in October I’d posted about the album and how McCartney wrote and recorded the album on the fly, if you will.

And here’s the video of Sing the Changes from the album. Curious as to why the official The Fireman YouTube page disabled embed options while the Paul McCartney official page didn’t. Makes no sense.

Bonus: Another recent interview.
