Journey to the Martin Guitar Factory

A few months old NY Times article but made me want to visit the factory in Nazareth, PA.

I did somewhat ‘visit’ a guitar factory in Nashville last year when a friend and I drove (he did most of the driving) from Atlanta to Nashville. Now I had been saying “I wanna go see Elvis’s town” and added that with Nashville. It wasn’t after we’d drove in to town that I realized I meant Memphis. Perhaps it was meant to be; I had always wanted to go see the Grand Ole Opry – the original one. The place now looks teeny compared to the gigantic concert hall across the street on 5 Ave. Not to mention the Tower of Sauron AT&T pointing up to the sky (I hope the 3G works better there).

Anyway, thankfully had the camera with me. We decided, what the heck, let’s go check out the new Opry. After parking in that huge lot I had to go inside the Gibson store.
