The Rosenberg Trio seems to get it. They’ve made their latest release, the self-produced Djangologists (honoring Django Reinhardt’s 100th birthday), available for 8 Euros as a download.This is an 18-track album featuring special guest Bireli Lagrene. The download also includes a 57-minute documentary about the trio’s week spent recording the album is also part of the download, and a 16-page pdf booklet.

But wait…there’s more!! A 6-track mini album is also tucked in there as a FREE download. Takes the cake, don’t it! If you don’t know these guys, the mini-album is a must.

In related news, I’d had the great opportunity to film a backstage jam session with Maie Bittel, Biel Ballester, John Intrator, and Stephane Wrembel on Jan 23rd, 2010, the 100th birth day anniversary of Django Reinhardt.
