It used to bother me too. But that was because I was less exposed to music other than the ones I owned. With the Internet and being able to watch and listen to all the other music around I am surprised there aren't more similarities in the music,esp in Rock and Pop. Makes sense? It's really interesting to trace influences. Kind of depressing though when you realize some of your favorites ripped things off. But good composers have been doing that for hundreds of years now!
